Welcome on our company’s page.

Textile production in the sub-tatran region has 150 years long tradition. In 1860 was established „Mechanical spinning and weaving mill of linen“ in Kežmarok as first industrial linen factory not only in Slovakia but also in the area of former Austro-Hungarian Empire and rang among the oldest textile factories in Slovakia.

Karol Wein was one of the first owners, who has enlarged and modernized the factory. In fabric were 400 mechanical weaving maschines, bleaching on the lawn and dye works of fibre.

Before the 1. world war linen factory has processed mostly raw materials of home origin. The crisis of linen industry in Slovakia came after 1. world war, maschines were dismounted and production was stopped. After 2. world war production was reinstated.
